Join Vodacom’s E-Waste Management Learnership
Vodacom, in collaboration with the e-waste management industry, invites unemployed South African youth (ages 18–35) to apply for the E-Waste Management Learnership Programme 2025/2026. This 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, offers hands-on training, mentorship, and accredited skills development in the growing field of electronic waste recycling and environmental sustainability.

Programme Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in theoretical and practical training in e-waste recycling and disposal.

  • Contribute to Vodacom’s sustainability goals and South Africa’s circular economy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 18–35 years old.
  • Education: Matric/Grade 12 certificate with Maths or Maths Literacy and Science.
  • Employment Status: Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or academic programme.
  • Citizenship: South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Residency: Must reside in Gauteng Province (proof of residence required, e.g., utility bill or affidavit).
  • Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficient English (verbal and written).
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work in a team.
  • Priority: Preference given to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds (Quintile 1–3 schools).

Required Documents

  • Certified copy of South African ID (not older than 3 months).
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate (not older than 3 months).
  • Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill or affidavit).
  • Detailed CV highlighting any relevant experience or skills.
  • Motivational letter explaining:
    • Your interest in e-waste management.
    • How the learnership aligns with your career goals.
