Join Vodacom’s E-Waste Management Learnership
Vodacom, in collaboration with the e-waste management industry, invites unemployed South African youth (ages 18–35) to apply for the E-Waste Management Learnership Programme 2025/2026. This 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, offers hands-on training, mentorship, and accredited skills development in the growing field of electronic waste recycling and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in theoretical and practical training in e-waste recycling and disposal.
- Learn sustainable practices for handling electronic waste, including collection, processing, and recycling.
- Collaborate with mentors and team members to develop technical and soft skills.
- Contribute to Vodacom’s sustainability goals and South Africa’s circular economy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 18–35 years old.
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 certificate with Maths or Maths Literacy and Science.
- Employment Status: Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or academic programme.
- Citizenship: South African citizen with a valid ID.
- Residency: Must reside in Gauteng Province (proof of residence required, e.g., utility bill or affidavit).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficient English (verbal and written).
- Attributes: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work in a team.
- Priority: Preference given to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds (Quintile 1–3 schools).
Required Documents
- Certified copy of South African ID (not older than 3 months).
- Certified copy of Matric certificate (not older than 3 months).
- Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill or affidavit).
- Detailed CV highlighting any relevant experience or skills.
- Motivational letter explaining:
- Your interest in e-waste management.
- How the learnership aligns with your career goals.
