What’s the DCS Security Officer Role?
DCS, managing South Africa’s correctional facilities, needs Security Officers to oversee agricultural operations in prisons. You’ll ensure safety and security on prison farms while supporting rehabilitation through farming activities, working in one of eight provinces.
What You’ll Do
- Guard inmates during agricultural tasks (e.g., crop farming, livestock care)
- Monitor farm security to prevent escapes or incidents
- Enforce safety and disciplinary protocols
- Support farm operations and inmate training
- Complete incident reports and security logs
