What’s the DFFE Graduate Programme?

DFFE’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) trains graduates in environmental management, placing you in municipalities nationwide. You’ll work on projects like waste management or conservation, gaining hands-on experience in South Africa’s green sector, from Cape Town to Limpopo.

What You’ll Do

  • Support municipal environmental projects (e.g., recycling, conservation)

Are You Eligible?

You qualify if you:

  • Are a South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Have a National Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
  • Are unemployed and haven’t done this programme before
  • Have basic computer and communication skills
  • Live in a participating municipality

How to Apply

HOW TO APPLY:

Applicants must clearly indicate the province, reference number and the Local Municipality they are applying for in the signed application letter.

Applicants who are applying for multiple opportunities must submit separate applications. PLEASE read carefully the instructions concerning application procedures to be followed (last page). PLEASE NOTE: No other benefits apply; successful candidates will be required to cover the cost for their own accommodation and transportation to and from work if necessary.
