Join the AVBOB Long Term Insurance Learnership Programme
AVBOB, in partnership with INSETA, is offering a 12-month Long Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme (NQF Level 4, 140 credits) for aspiring Sales Representatives. This structured programme combines theoretical learning with practical workplace experience, providing a pathway to a rewarding career in the insurance sector. A monthly stipend (estimated R5,500–R6,000) will be paid to learners throughout the programme.

Job Description

  • Gain hands-on experience in insurance sales, client service, and administration.
  • Work alongside Financial Associates to develop skills and become an independent professional.
  • Participate in a structured learning programme leading to a registered NQF Level 4 qualification.

Locations
Opportunities are available in various provinces, including:

  • Eastern Cape: Port Elizabeth (Brokers), Umtata (Client Service & Life Insurance), East London (Client Service, Brokers & Life Insurance), Queenstown (Life Insurance).
  • Gauteng: Pretoria CBD, East Rand, Johannesburg, Centurion, Midrand, and others.
  • Limpopo: Polokwane, Tzaneen, Thohoyandou, Giyani, Elim, Lephalale, Mokopane, Lebowakgomo.
  • Mpumalanga: Nelspruit, Witbank, Ermelo, and others.
  • North West: Rustenburg and others.
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Umhlanga and others.
    Note: Placement is at AVBOB’s discretion, and candidates must be willing to work in any listed province/branch.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Valid Matric/Grade 12 certificate with English and Maths/Maths Literacy/Accounting as subjects.
  • Age between 18 and 35.
  • South African citizen.
  • No previous learnerships attended.
  • Not registered with another academic institution or engaged in other studies.
  • Reliable mode of transport (public transport not sufficient).
  • Smartphone or laptop (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, internet) are an advantage.
