Reference Centre: PHC Support and Outreach, Knysna/Bitou Sub District (Stationed at Knysna Hospital)
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Basic numeracy and literacy
- Experience: Previous driving experience, including transporting staff and goods
- License: Valid Code B/EB/C1 driver’s license
- Permit: Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
Key Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Government Motor Transport Handbook 1 of 2019 and Circular 4 of 2000
- Ability to conduct routine vehicle maintenance and report defects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically fit for manual labour
- Able to work independently and in a team
Job Duties
- Transport goods, personnel, and clients as needed
- Maintain logbooks and trip authorizations
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness
- Adhere to departmental transport procedures
- Provide administrative support and relieve duties when required
Additional Requirements
- Willing to work overtime and perform standby duties
- Flexibility to assist in other support functions if needed
