Job Description
Programme professionals at Plan International design, manage, and implement high-impact, evidence-based projects that align with the organization’s mission and global standards, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These roles involve multi-sectoral interventions, stakeholder collaboration, and advocacy to drive systemic change for children and youth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead strategic program designs aligned with community needs and Plan International’s frameworks.
  • Implement projects using research and data to enhance outcomes for vulnerable children, especially girls.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, applying insights to improve delivery.
  • Manage budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Train staff, partners, and youth leaders on safeguarding, child rights, and gender equality.
  • Collaborate with governments, communities, and partners to maximize program impact.
  • Adapt programs during crises to ensure safety and continuity.
  • Produce reports to document successes and contribute to global knowledge-sharing.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Work, Public Policy, Gender Studies, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree preferred for senior or leadership roles.
    • Certifications (e.g., PMD Pro, PMP, PRINCE2, or humanitarian/safeguarding credentials) are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years in program management with NGOs, UN agencies, or international development organizations.
    • Proven track record managing donor-funded programs in child rights, youth, education, or gender equality.
    • Experience in multi-country or cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong expertise in monitoring, evaluation, budget management, and donor relations.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) or project management methodologies (e.g., LogFrame).
    • Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
