Job Purpose
The receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers. The role includes managing the reception area, answering calls, handling general administrative duties, and ensuring excellent client service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage the switchboard and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain the reception area and meeting rooms
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and data entry
- Schedule meetings and manage boardroom bookings
- Provide general office support to departments as required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist or front-desk role (preferred)
- Good telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Neat appearance and professional demeanor
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
