Job Overview
Edgars is looking for enthusiastic and service-driven individuals to join its in-store team as Sales Consultants. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about fashion, customer service, and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable advice
- Achieve individual and store sales targets
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store cleanliness
- Handle stock unpacking, pricing, and replenishment
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently at the till point
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
- Support in-store marketing and promotional activities
- Work as part of a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Previous retail experience (minimum one year preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- A passion for fashion and customer service
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office an advantage)
Advantageous
- Sales experience in fashion or cosmetics
- Product knowledge in fashion, beauty, or homeware categories
- Ability to speak more than one South African language
