The Gauteng Provincial Government is offering a range of learnerships and internships for unemployed South African youth in 2025. These structured opportunities provide practical training, monthly stipends, and a pathway to full-time employment in various public service sectors.

1. Learnership Programme: Library Services (24 Months)
- Stipend: R6,500 per month
- Reference Number: SACR/LIBRARY 01 (plus sub-codes by location)
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate (compulsory)
- ICT Certificate or relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Skills in planning, organisation, communication, data collection, and computer literacy
Key Duties:
- Assist library users with research, CAPS curriculum, job searches, and Microsoft Project
- Support operation of gaming room and technology access
- Maintain registers and digital resource indicators

2. Internship: Club Development Coordinator (3-Year Contract)
- Stipend: R7,900 per month

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- 1-Year Certificate in Sport Management or related qualification
- Experience in a sport-related environment
Key Duties:
- Administer and support Club Development Programme
- Handle logistics, record-keeping, and reporting duties

3. Internship: Active Recreation Coordinator (3-Year Contract)
- Stipend: R7,900 per month

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Qualification in Recreation Management, Recreation Administration, or Leadership (advantageous)
Key Duties:
- Support implementation of the Recreation Programme
- Compile monthly statistics and manage expenditure reports
- Assist with coordination and reporting functions
