Job Description
Minimum Requirements
Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Completion of Basic Security Training (PSIRA accredited).
- Clean criminal record with no history of unlawful activity.
- PSIRA registration as a Security Officer with a minimum of Grade C.
- Grade A PSIRA certification is a plus.
- At least one year of experience in the security field.
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Security Guard involves the following duties and responsibilities to be fulfilled:
- Protect the premises, personnel, and assets to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct access control and provide a visible presence to uphold safety protocols.
- Handle administrative duties to support smooth and organized operations.
- Respond to emergencies and assist in managing the situation effectively.
- Monitor and manage CCTV systems to prevent crime, safeguard property, and ensure the safety of the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).
