Role Purpose
The Service Assistant plays a key role in keeping the workplace clean and presentable by performing cleaning tasks, managing outdoor areas, and maintaining the cleanliness of company vehicles. Their work helps ensure a hygienic and pleasant environment for staff, customers, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities
The role of the Service Assistant involves the following duties and responsibilities to be fulfilled:
- Cleaning and Housekeeping: Ensure all areas of the premises, including offices, restrooms, and shared spaces, are kept clean through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
- Gardening and Outdoor Care: Maintain the appearance of gardens and outdoor areas by cutting grass, watering plants, trimming hedges, and clearing weeds.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Wash and clean trucks and other company vehicles regularly to uphold hygiene and appearance standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective gear. Promote a safe working environment.
- Team Contribution: Support team goals and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:
- A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the FMCG retail sector.
