What the Programme Offers
Truworths is offering an immersive learnership designed to develop versatile retail professionals. Over a 12-month period, participants will be trained in both sales-floor and service-desk operations, gaining insight into customer interaction, stock management, point-of-sale systems, and This hands-on approach ensures anyone passionate about fashion and retail gets practical experience alongside structured learning
What You’ll Do
- Complete at least 120 hours of in-store training
- Guide customers in finding fashion items and offer helpful advice
- Arranging merchandise according to company merchandising standards (MBP)
- Operate POS systems to process sales and open new customer accounts
- Monitor and minimize stock losses through accurate handling
- Support customer safety and uphold in-store security protocols
- Maintain logbooks and prepare for assessments to demonstrate learned skills
Who Should Apply

- Have completed at least Grade 10
- Be passionate about fashion, retail, and customer service
- Be committed to learning, assessments, and completing logbook requirements
- Possess strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team
No prior experience is required, making it perfect for school leavers or anyone starting out in retail
Eligiblity & Selection
- Open to South African citizens across all provinces—including Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KZN, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape
- Participants will receive a monthly stipend (estimated between R3 000 and R6 000) to support their learning period
- Successful applicants will receive a certificate of completion recognized in the retail industry
